I was a student in the Travel Behaviour course taught by Prof. Rolf Moeckel this semester at TUM. Even within a single semester, he made us feel from the very first lecture what a dedicated academic and warm-hearted person he was. I will always remember him with his kind smile in class. My deepest condolences to his loved ones.

Rolf was a deeply loved family member who will be missed every day. I am shocked at his sudden passing, and my heart breaks for my niece Katie and for Rolf's and Katie's two young daughters Carla and Tessa. Rolf was a kindhearted, intelligent man, a loving and attentive father, and a supportive and solicitous spouse. He was taken from our family much too soon.
